BEGIN Praying for the Lord’s Day

• Pray for the Word of God to be faithfully read, preached, heard, and received with faith and love to our growth in the grace and knowledge of Christ.
• Pray for our pastor as he studies and prepares to preach.
• If the sacraments are to be administered, pray for the effectual application by the Spirit of all that God promises in them. 
• Pray for our musicians.
• Pray for our hearts to be engaged along with our lips.
• Pray for our visitors to be gripped by God’s Word and Spirit.
• Pray for God to sanctify us all by his truth.
• Pray for our teachers, that they will teach faithfully, confidently, and with love to their students.
• Pray for our volunteers who serve in various capacities (nursery, sound, etc.)

BEGIN Preparing for the Lord’s Day

• Read and pray over the sermon text 
• Discuss the sermon text as a family. 
• Learn any unfamiliar psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs we will sing. 
• Look over last week’s Sunday School material with your children.
• Are there ways you can look ahead to get the most out of the Sunday School lesson?
• Get appropriate rest and set things in order to be prepared, engaged, and attentive so that you may profit from all the Lord has for you.
